Our story
Long before the first brushstroke was made on cave walls, the universe was already painting with equations. The spiral of a nautilus shell follows the golden ratio. The branching of a river delta obeys fractal geometry. The spots on a leopard emerge from a chemical reaction-diffusion system described by Alan Turing in 1952.
MathRelaxing explores these systems parametrically — running each equation thousands of times, curating the configurations where mathematics and beauty intersect.
Every print begins with an equation. We implement each system faithfully — Runge-Kutta integration for attractors, finite-difference methods for reaction-diffusion, iterative escape-time algorithms for fractals. The parameter space is explored systematically and visually.
When a configuration is selected, it is rendered at 3840×3840 pixels using matplotlib and numpy on our server. The image goes directly to Gelato's print network, which produces it at a facility near the destination — reducing shipping distance and carbon footprint.
The slider on each product page is not decorative — it runs the actual equation in your browser using a JavaScript canvas renderer. The parameters you set are the parameters used to generate your print. A certificate of authenticity records the exact values and is included with every order.
